YVR Update/Advisory: Traffic congestion anticipated to/from YVR/McArthur Glen on December 26th for annual Boxing Day sales

It’s that time of year again: the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet is hosting its annual Boxing Day sale next week (Tuesday, December 26th).

As a result, we anticipate an increase in vehicle traffic to Sea Island on both Tuesday and throughout the following week. With the heavy traffic expected, we are encouraging everyone to plan ahead, take the Canada Line if possible and if driving, to please leave adequate time to arrive at the airport.

We have a comprehensive plan including monitoring of traffic activity and deployment of resources as necessary. We have also identified and are working with RCMP on detour routes and overflow parking options that will be used as required. Traffic management personnel and RCMP traffic enforcement will be on site.
