Vision

Improve communications by opening and maintaining channels with relevant, accessible content for the purpose of informing and engaging positive community connection and transparency amongst the Sea Island Community Association (SICA), Sea Island residents and relevant, affected stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Production of the Sea Island Times periodical newsletter to communicate information to and from the community

• Development and maintenance of online and digital communications (eg: websites, Facebook profile, etc.)

• Development and maintenance of internal/external communication channels

• Explore ways to connect with the community through technology and other means

• Connect with and support other SICA committees and outside agencies to assist in communicating, marketing and promoting relevant information to the Burkeville community. 

• Maintain physical signs and public messaging. (ie: Read-O-Graph, Bulletin Board, etc.)

• Identification of resident-interest-only vs public consumption content. 

• Engage with the Burkeville community to collect information and ideas (eg. surveys, info booths, town hall meetings, etc.)
