YVR Update: Upcoming construction work around Templeton Skytrain Station

Beginning the week of October 7 and until end of October there will be restricted pedestrian access to Templeton Skytrain Station from Grant McConachie Way via the commonly used grassy area adjacent to Templeton Street. We recommend pedestrians to use Sea Island Centre Station. There will be signs onsite to direct pedestrians.

Over the course of October, crews will be working to improve pedestrian access to Templeton Station by creating a new sidewalk (noted in the red below). The new sidewalk will connect pedestrians from Grant McConachie Way to Templeton Station via the long-term lot along the westside of the off-ramp and a new pedestrian crossing and entrance to the long-term lot will also be created.

We are finalizing plans with the contractor and there may be a few evening closures to the ramp for vehicle traffic, just north of the new sidewalk but vehicles can access Templeton Station via the long-term lot. If there are any closure dates, I will be sure to send them to you in advance for circulation with the community.

Additionally, in December (dates TBD) crews will be back on site to install new lighting fixtures along the pathway.
