City of Richmond Update - Tree Removal (in Laneway between Wellington Crescent & School Grounds)

As part of the Burkeville Utility Upgrades project, the removal of 2 trees near Sea Island Elementary school, along the Wellington Crescent laneway is required to allow for the installation of new drainage pipe.  The trees which will be removed were marked on Tuesday, July 11 and the removal work will take place on Monday, July 17.

As compensation, the City will be planting 6 new trees within a near by local park at location to be determined.  There will be no impacts to traffic or access during this work.
